“Demons” Wins Bram Stoker Award!

Back in February we shared our excitement about the John Skipp anthology “Demons: Encounters with the Devil and His Minions, Fallen Angels, and the Possessed” being nominated for a Bram Stoker Award.

Today we are positively ELATED to inform you that it WON!
Superior Achievement in an ANTHOLOGY went to
Demons: Encounters with the Devil and his Minions, Fallen Angels and the Possessed edited by John Skipp (Black Dog and Leventhal)

Congratulations to John Skipp, Laura Lee Bahr, Cody Goodfellow, Violet LaVoit, Carlton Mellick III, J. David Osborne, Athena Villaverde, and James Steele who all had stories in the collection.

“DEMONS” Up For a Stoker Award! Bizarros Rejoice!

This morning, the Horror Writers Association announced their official ballot for the Bram Stoker Awards. And my DEMONS anthology made the list.

I don’t know if this is the first time a Bizarro author got nominated for a Stoker, but it’s certainly the MOST Bizarro authors ever nominated in one fell swoop.
So congrats to LAURA LEE BAHR, CODY GOODFELLOW, VIOLET LaVIOT, CARLTON MELLICK III, J. DAVID OSBORNE, JAMES STEELE, and ATHENA VILLAVERDE, who brought the mad Bizarro flavah to the book, and held their own with Neil Gaiman, William Peter Blatty, and the rest of the fancy gang.
Yer pal,
