Madness Heart Press is now seeking submissions for its fourth edition of Trigger Warning. The previous editions have covered Speaking Ill of the dead, extreme Body Horror, and Hallucinations. This time around they’re looking for the most unspeakable, gut-wrenching, mind-bending stories about curses writers can drag out of their nightmares. The title really does cover it all. Everything past the title page comes with no further caution. This is not horror made for the faint of heart or passing casual interest. It is intentionally gross, violent, traumatic, and damaging on a criminal level. If you are up to the challenge, it also needs to be exceptionally well-written and creative.
This collection will be slushed by John Baltisberger and then passed to the one and only Christine Morgan for final selection and editing. You need to bring your A-game, recycling old tropes and bringing in subjects simply for the sake of the shock will not work. You need to tell good stories. Good, splattery, upsetting stories.
