Weekly Weird Art: Tim Jacobus

You may not know his name, but you’ll certainly recognize his work. Tim Jacobus illustrated all the covers of the original Goosebumps series, the Goosebumps 2000 series and other special editions. His cover art was integral to the success fo the series because although as adults we may not judge a book by its cover, that just doesn’t work for kids. I still remember picking up my first Goosebumps book, Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls, and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. I probably spent as much time staring at the cover as I did reading it.

Tim Jacobus was born and raised in New Jersey, and lives in Budd Lake. His autobiography It Came from New Jersey! can be found here.
