Day 13: Clive Barker

By Sam Reeve

Now most of us know Clive Barker for writing and directing Hellraiser, or for his numerous novels that have been published since the 80’s. But he’s also been painting for just about as long, and he creates some pretty weird shit.

Barker was born in Liverpool, England in 1952. Many of his stories or novels have been adapted to film by either himself or others, including Midnight Meat Train, directed by Ryuhei Kitamura.

Really been enjoying this series. (And I hope Jack Kevorkian’s art gets a nod–he painted some deeply disturbing shit.)
