Join Right Now!

Send an email to to sign up. Please include ENLISTMENT in the subject line.

Enlisting gets you membership, and a bizarro book to review. Once you’ve reviewed that book on Amazon, you gain full membership to the Brigade as a grunt and can start earning points for books and rank.

A Call for Lieutenants and Sergeants!

For the formation of the army, we will be needing Lieutenants and Sergeants right away. Each ranking person in the Brigade will be responsible for three people below them (ie: a Lt will have three Sgts reporting to her/him—-that just means you shuffle emails upward and downward, really… you pass stuff along. This way every person in the army will have only a few people to keep track of—-grunts only worry about themselves.) and will be compensated with a monthly point-allotment for their duties. Each Lieutenant will report to a Colonel, who in turn will report to the Commander at Large. At this time the Brigade is made up of three companies, headed by Colonels Christy Leigh Stewart, Rachel Roeske, and Zoe Welch. The Brigade has room for nine Lieutenants and eighteen Sergeants. The rest of you can enlist as grunts and work your way up through the ranks by gathering points.

We need officers and sergeants!

If you have reviewed four or more bizarro books on Amazon, you qualify for the rank of Lieutenant at this time. Send an email with the titles you’ve reviewed, and your reviewer name if different than your real one. You will still be expected to review the free bizarro book we send you for enlisting.

If you have reviewed two or three bizarro books on Amazon, you qualify for the rank of Sergeant at this time. Send an email with the titles you’ve reviewed, and your reviewer name if different than your real one. You will still be expected to review the free bizarro book we send you for enlisting.

Each rank comes with monthly automatically earned points. (Lieutenants make more than Sergeants) You earn books just by holding rank.

We are looking for copy-editing specialists. A team will be formed based on desire and ability. This team will read bizarro manuscripts and look for errors. Each member will posses strong editing skills. Team members will earn massive amounts of points for copy-editing a manuscript—-enough to get a free book. If you’re interested in joining the team, please send an email with the subject line, COPY-EDITING.

Yes. It’s the best way to keep track of who’s doing what for bizarro, and what they deserve for their efforts.

Yes, points earn you the book of your choice from the Brigade Catalog—-a real, physical copy!

You can get points in many ways, from writing book reviews to dressing up like your favorite CM3 character and spending the day at the subway reading bizarro books aloud and playing the kazoo. Come up with a promo idea, get it approved, and EARN POINTS by doing it.

You’ll receive a points chart upon enlistment, and you’ll know what you can do with what you earn, from books to weird, one-of-a-kind bizarro items like inflatable unicorns, Slavic drug lord pinatas filled with little plastic heads, and special promotional items, zines, and artwork from bizarro authors that no one else is gonna ever have a chance to get their fanatical hands on.

It’s not like you’re not already a part of the army, this is just your chance to be recognized, receive compensation for a job well done, and to spread the word of bizarro so that bizarro may thrive.

    • Seriously, I love how pploee say the Blues suck…according to “experts” we were supposed to finish dead last in West, that was with a healthy squad ladies & gentlemen, they made one of the biggest comebacks in NHL season history to make the playoffs above teams they were picked to finish behind with basically an AHL team with a few veterans, amazing run by my beloved BLUES! BLUES CUP IN 2011!

  4. Hell yeah. I’d love some copy-editing experience. Posted my first review to Amazon and doubled it up on goodreads. I don’t know why I haven’t reviewed stuff on Amazon before. I think I tried once and got a notice saying I needed to buy it from them to review it. Something weird like that. Anyway, it’s done, it’s all good.
