William- The art is very reminiscent of "In the Hills, The Cities." Might be part of why I love it; that's one of Barker's finest stories. Actually, I might put it pretty high on my list of Best Short Stories.
Tangentially, a lot of the work that Cody does gives me the same kicks I got from that early Books of Blood Barker. Top notch writing, crazy ideas, incredible visuals. Cody is The Business. I'm so happy to have his books out on Swallowdown.
Next up for the press:
Title TBA by Forrest Armstrong
By the Time We Leave Here, We'll Be Friends by J. David Osborne
Skullcrack City by Me
Another Awesome Cody Goodfellow Collection
And, fingers crossed, Black Zone by Mitch Maraude, assuming the
super-genius inventor decides to come back to the world of fiction and deliver the insanely great book I know he's got in his head (and in various drafts).
So, it should be a fun year. We might actually end up with more books in 2010, but I'm trying to be pragmatic.
