I like hearing stories like this because it’s a reminder that success isn’t what you think it looks like. Success is like the dinosaur you draw when you’re a kid. You think it’s going to be some perfect awesome, Ray Harryhausen monstrosity that jumps off the page and bites the kid who bullies you on the playground but it’s a blob of green crayon with funny triangle teeth and all you can do is love it for what it is and hope you keep doing better.

This is really cool. The Rock-afire Explosion were the “house band” of Showbiz Pizza in the 1980′s, and I grew up watching them at birthday parties. I would have loved if they had played songs like this. There is a documentary online about a guy who converted a section of his house into a permanent stage for a full Rock-afire band. The process of inputting a song is incredibly tedious, and their creator was selling them anyone who could afford to buy a set.
