  1. I’ve only read 4 of these (although I’m pretty sure I know what I’m going to vote for). So it looks like novellas qualify as long as they appear in an issues of a journal or novella collections instead of books that don’t contain anything besides the novellas. I didn’t know that. If I had, I may have voted the first time around (although the main reason why I didn’t was forgetting about the deadline).

  2. Something weird happened.

Anyway, I’ll have to read David Barbee’s story since that’s the only one that’s online (and free).

  3. I voted for Gary Vincent and the Big Book of the Bizarro – now there’s a book with some fire on its peaches.

And I don’t mean that Lindsay Lohan venereal disease crapola, I mean literal ***damn fire. My testes exploded the moment I picked it up and flames shot forward out of my mancannon like olympic javelins of incendiary liquid legacy until it clear blew George Washington’s face off Mt. Rushmore. Gender neutral effigies, my shaven buttocks… you try explaining to my mother how a book could cause you to impregnate a SNOWMAN in the middle of SUMMER!

Thus is the power of the BB of the B. It’s like the Ark of the Covenant for us Gentiles. It’s a war on literacy! It’s everything the Beatles fought for crumbling in front of our children’s eyes until it becomes a composite tranvestite of human dignity. I love it.

  4. I am going to keep what I’m voting for to myself (along with the email address where I send my vote). I will do this right after I finish reading David Barbee’s story. I will start now, although I may not have time to finish because I’m doing an online tutoring shift right now and waiting for a student to appear. Today is much slower than usual. I get paid less when I’m waiting and typing comments on bizarrocentral rather than tutoring, but I rarely have to wait for students to appear during my shifts. Perhaps most of the students have a break from school because of the forthcoming holiday.

  5. Surfing bears are much more interesting than glory holes (although an encounter with them would be less pleasurable). I want everyone to know that am going to cast my vote now unless I am interrupted.

  6. In case anyone is interested, I have successfully cast my vote.

  7. I’m suddenly craving Gilligan’s Island…

  8. Perhaps bears are often on the other side of walls with glory holes.

  9. “Something weird happened.” Bradley, I know this is in context to your post, but I find it a rather hilarious statement considering that this is Bizarro Central, and weird is such an understatement :)

I unfortunately have not been able to read any of these (where the fuck have I been, right?) but I wish every author the best of luck. “I Am Genghis Cum” is certainly on the top of my list as far as must-reads.

  10. The vast majority of these stories (and novellas) were published recently, which is why I’ve only read a few.
